I found this today on bangshift.com

BangShift.com sponsor and friend Bret Voelkel, President of Ridetech, was hospitalized Jan 20th, 2010 after suffering a head injury due to a fall.

Voelkel was seen running from the Ridetech headquarters building, clearly agitated, screaming, and was later found unconscious next to his Tahoe. Voelkel is reported to be in stable condition and is expected to return home pending psychiatric evaluation.

When BangShift.com contacted Ridetech for a comment, we were directed to Tony Bicknell who informed us that at approximately 11 am Eastern Time, Bret was seen walking through the fabrication shop at which point he began screaming something about knowing they were after him, and that his own people were conspiring to help them.

Is the link a press release or an update on the condition of a company owner? Very poor idea to start talking about a new product with a headline referring to someone being hospitalized.

Larry...I may have to pull the plug on this...
My very well intentioned [and unorthodox] sales guys have succeeded in creating interest...maybe too well.
PLEASE READ the bangshift.com article before wasting any sympathy...

Thats what I get for encouraging being "creative" and "thinking outside the box":). They may have just found the limits of the "permission vs. forgiveness" thing...

I was scratching my head for a few minutes. The whole thing did not add up.

I could see the ghosts of suspensions past haunting you but not enough to drive you completely mad........Did get my attention though.

See to me is crossed the line with the found unconscious part. If it had said something along the lines of released from psych ward after under going treatment/testing, that would have been better and easier to realize as a joke

Oh and I am no way offended or upset or demanding jokes stop being played or used to grab attention to a head line.

Blame me. I had a good laugh after I read the entire thing and posted it here. It was my idea to post it and the way it was cropped.

Bret-

I applaud that kind of stuff. I was roasted pretty good a year back when I claimed my car 50/50 was stolen. I like your style.

Well, part of all this is true...we ARE now in the coilover business. At least, we will be in a couple of months.
We've been working on this deal for quite some time. I think the "mental illness" part came when I committed a LARGE amount of money last year to make this deal go forward...while the market was in near depression. The silver lining of the poor economy is that technology is on sale...couldnt miss the oppotunity.

Its a kickass piece...no ride height or spring rate adjustment, but for the guys who don't care about that stuff, it is a high quality American made unit that you won't have to finance. You will get an in-person look at the HotRod trade show in Indy in March, and at the Scottsdale, Pleasanton, and Del Mar Goodguys shows in March and April. Or you can come to the shop in Indiana for a personal look!

More details soon...

BTW...I'm going to the Barrett auction tomorrow and Saturday. If I fall down and hurt myself there it's because I got too close to the bar:).

Also going to the Optima premier on Tuesday night. Talk to you all after that!

Let it ride, Bret (no pun intended ...). Loved it and you guys get an A+ for creativity. And why no adjustment for ride height???

See you at the Premiere. Bring your wife and we'll do Rodeo Drive.

Cheers,

So does this mean that the price for the shocks will not be as high as it would have maybe been going to cover the insurance cost for the hospital bills,LOL

The whole thing was just a SHOCKING experience from the start to the end,Right?

Now for the real question that is poking me, Will there be a set that will fit C4 vette suspension?
