Hy Guys,
I've purchased a complete set of SN-95 discs to put on my '67 Mustang Coupe. I've also purchased and will be installing the FatMan strut IFS kit.
So, what I'm wondering is what master/booster you guys would recommend? I'd like to keep it looking reasonable under the hood.
That being said, do you think it'd be reasonable to run these brakes as manuals? There are some nice manual masters out there.
Thanks in advance,
Wes

Have you thought about running a underdash unit similar to this. http://www.rrs-online.com/boosters.php
The rrs kit isn't cheap but i know of a hot rod shop here that was making these for around $300. Ill do some more research and try to find it.
By the way i was looking at the Fatman and Mustang strut kit to run in my 65 Falcon. Have you got any pics, tips/comments about it so far? Would you recommend it???
Thanks
Dallas

Thanks for the info, it looks very interesting. Hoping to find a suitable junk yard piece though....
Haven't received the fatman stuff yet, just ordered it this week. I'll post a build thread here when i do.

Wesley,
I used the hydroboost from the SN-95 mustang on my 68 cougar. Fabricated the plate for the hydroboost to bolt to then bolted the plate to the car like the factory brake booster. Had the power steering lines fabricated afterward.

I see great minds think alike, I purchased a hydroboost system yesterday!

Did you pick up a hydroboost from the same era mustang? If so, I would try to use the mounting plate that came with it and modify it to bolt to the car. It will tilt the hydroboost/master up and the pushrod down. That way you can mount the push rod lower on the pedal effectively reducing the pedal ratio (if you retain the manual brake pedal). You should be able to move it down an inch. I believe the vintage mustang has a brake pedal ratio of 6:1 whereas the SN95 has 4:1. I didn't do that and I have a sensitive brake pedal. Just my $.02

Fantastic information, Thanks!
Ya, the hydroboost is from a 99 I believe. I'll mod my pedal accordingly.

At first I thought I was going to have interference with the shock tower, but after I completed the install, I had 1/4" of clearance between the master and shock tower. If I had to do it all over again, I would have used the plate off of the newer mustang and modified accordingly. I can send pictures if you like.

yes please. pictures will be great
i can fit the HB unit between the shock tower and firewall but then the rod will be too long to fit on the brake pedal (the OEM rod is not adjustable as u know). so i am not sure what to do ? i can fabricate any plate i want but if the HB fits then the rod is too long, if the rod fits, then the HB hits the shock tower. Any help/suggestion will be great
