5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 all share the same crankshaft stroke. Bore is the only difference.
The 5.3 can be bored out to 3.90", which is the same bore as the LS1.
If you want a longer stroke you will need an aftermarket crank.

You can put a 6.0l but it will still be a 5.3l (6.0's and 5.3's use the same 3.622" stroke crank) Ive seen quite a few guys bore the 5.3 block out to 3.90 (stock LS1 bore) and use pistons from the 5.7l ls1.
5.3l = 3.78" bore x 3.622" stroke = 325ci
5.7l = 3.90" bore x 3.622" stroke = 346ci
6.0l = 4.00" bore x 3.622" stroke = 364ci
