I need to replace my top on my 1967 Buick GS400 convertible. I want to upgrade material on the top. As well as provide better insulation and sound control in the cab. I have check and have heard about haartz but can't really alot of good info on them. like texture and durability.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Haartz makes some quality materials. It's usually more expensive than the normal material you're GS would have had. The texture is more "cloth" than vinyl. It's usually multiple plies, and thicker. It is generally better insulated. It wears well, but can also easily stain and "fray". I've had a few cars with Haartz top materials.

So I am assuming the haartz materials as a top is good as an upgrade or is there better. Also Are Tops hard to install or am I better off paying a professional.

I'd say they're good. I wouldn't tackle installing one myself.
