View Full Version : Wayne Due C4 Frame Users, I Need HELP!

After way longer than I even want to think about, assembly of my car, Time Warped, has begun. And just as quickly, ground to a halt. Wayne designed the LCA's to mount to the frame with 1/2" bolts. But C4 Corvette LCA bushings used 12mm bolts.

What is the best route to take? 12mm bolts would have just a bit of slop in them that doesn't sound like a good plan to me.

I guess the only other option is to ream out the bushing pins, or is there something I'm missing???

Please Help, I really want to keep moving forward, and after a month of cleaning and painting the firewall and underneath I was so happy to actually join parts together.

go check out Steves Bad Penny thread, he simply made sleeve spacers to take up "slop" any good shop should be able to cut some down on a lathe, just make sure they are a few thousandths shorter than holes and fit snug(say lightly tap in with hammer) in frame and remember to use good bolts. Steve used 12mm with 10.9 hardness.

Thanks MonzaRacer, I ended up getting a crippled drill press I have up and running and drilled out the holes on the bushing pins. Just for the want of another 0.014":)
