What aftermarket subframes are there for a 70 Firebird? I want to take some weight off the front end. Id also like to use C5 or C6 suspension. Is there any thing out there?

The factory front frame is good though in terms of geometry and rigidity. I'm not sure which will be lighter than stock except for the DSE front subframe. You'll need to check with AME and SpeedTech about their weight.

I do not think ST makes 2nd gen frame. I quizzed Blake on this at sema.
As an admin at nastyZ it is my duty to harass people into making 2nd gen parts. :hammer:

We have a 2nd gen frame, utilizing c6 parts, with our own pick up points. Feel free to email or call anytime.
Heres a product page froma new site being built, better pics are coming but the 2nd gen frame is on the display stand, coupled to our tq arm/3 link rear susp.
You can notice the uca plate is taller and engine crossmember shorter on the 2nd gen subframes.

Check out www.Heidts.com (http://www.Heidts.com) they make complete subframe kits. I saw their second gen camaro on power tour last year I guess it kicked ass in the autocross. Not sure how competitve they are on prices and not sure about wieght.
