Hello Everyone.

My name is Robert and I have a bad car addiction. Is there any cure? I currently have a 1968 cougar that I am resto-modding/PTing. I use it as my daily driver because for some reason I'd rather drive old muscle than new cars. My cougar currently has a small block ford w/ ACCEL DFI, TKO 600, Currie 9" w/ 3.89s, Wilwoods all around, and hydroboost from a 2000 and up mustang. Currently the parts are worth more than the car. EVentually I'll get it painted, but I'm having too much fun driving it. THe next mods on the docket will be a mustang II style suspension (probably from TCI) and a custom 3-link for the rear. Eventually I will have it on air ride. I have an older brother w/ a slightly modded 66 mustang and a younger one with a 65 C10 that has a few upgrades. Their cars are gineau pigs for some of my ideas. This site sure has given me a lot of ideas already. Thanks for feeding my addiction. LOL.

Hello Bryce. What time n exactly where? Gotta watch the Charger game! I actually work at General Atomics in RB off of Camino Del Norte. Is the car show like the ones held in La Mesa and Chula Vista.

robert,

not to burst your bubble, but MII is not your best suspension choice. if you can make it out on sunday, before the game of course, i will show you what i designed and built for my falcon. It would be similiar to your cougar. We can also talk 3-links since i am building one too.

bryce,

I saw the front suspension work you did on your falcon. Nice work! Unfortunately, I really want to get rid of the shock towers completely. My brother tells me I should just design a front suspension since I planned on designing the rear. I've already installed a few kits and am happy with the way the cars ride and handle. My brother's 66 mustang has one with air ride that I installed and we like the way it sticks going through the corners. Although, I am still up in the air about just doing a full chassis. I was looking into Art Morrison chassis but didn't want chevy parts on a ford. I know they also have non-C6 based suspensions, but didn't like how the car would need to be aligned. I will try to make it to the car show depending on the weather and if I can get all my errands done in time.
