I would have to recommend Skype.

It pretty much makes the world go round for us in Iraq who want to be able to talk to our families.

A good 80% of us Soldiers use it here.

Vonage worked well for us. We were even able to bring it to Europe. Confuses people when you call from your old number. "I thought you were in Germany?"

Just got skype and it works pretty well at home. I got the iPhone app and it worked great last week in the Caribbean on a cruise. But I had to be on an island using the wifi.
