Swapping out C5 fronts for C6 fronts, and have a few basic questions:
Do the pad abutments interchange?
Do the abutment shims and anti-rattle springs interchange?
Do the brake pads interchange?
Thank you!!!

i think the springs interchange and thats it, i could be wrong.
i know you need the z-51 rotor as its 13.380 or so big, and you need new abutments to move the caliper further out as well. The anti rattle springs should be re used but i am unsure on the pads.

I should have stated that I currently have the C5/C4 hybrid setup. I just want to swap out the C5 calipers for C6 calipers (not Z06) and want to know if my C5 abutments, shims, anti-rattle srings and pads will work. Thanks.

they are the same calipers. maybe different color.
z-51 is a larger rotor

I believe the base C6 and the C6 Z51 package use the same front caliper, so technically a C6 and a C6 Z51 caliper are one and the same, but you're asking about C5 vs. C6.
I think all the critical dimensions are the same, but the C6 ones are stiffer (check out the stiffening ribs in the pics below).

Long story short, I believe the C5 and C6 to swap directly, the C6 is just a stiffer caliper. Correct me if I'm misguided in thinking so.

James is correct. The base level C5 and C6 caliper assemblies are interchangeable with one another (calipers, pins, boots, pad abutment brackets, pads and shims). The anti-rattle springs are not interchangeable though as the C6(Z51) 2-piston calipers do not use them, so if you can't figure out why the springs won't install properly into the C6 caliper body, that's why.

Interesting detail, thanks Tobin.

Thanks for the responses, and the info on the anti-rattle springs.
Tobin - I notice on your site that you list one front pad abutment as "C5/C6" and another just as "C6". Is there any difference? Thanks
Edit - I think i figured it out. The other abutment actually says "C6 Z51" on your site, a detail I overlooked. I bought used C6 fronts, including abutments. Is there an easy way to tell if the C6 abutments I have are standard C6 or C6 Z51? I'd like to use them as they are newer than my C5 abutments. Thanks again!

The M14 mounting holes on the C6 Z51 PAB's protrude down from the bottom "beam" of the PAB, making them visually dinscernable from the C5 and C6 base level PABs which are basically flat across the bottom "beam" portion with the mounting holes. If you aren't sure what you've got, feel free to email me a pic and I'll confirm it one way or the other.

Thanks for the reply Tobin. I just set them on the bench next to the C5 abutments and did an eyeball comparo. The C6 brakes I bought were not Z51s. The abutments seem identical to my C5 abutments, and they also fit on the car identically. Since I'm using 17" TTIIs and a C4 13" rotor, it would have manifested itself..................

I have been trying to figure what the exactly same thing I am currently doing the c5 zo6 4 wheel swap curiosity of Tobin, and plan on swapping over to the C6 z51 rotors and pad abutments as soon as the car is complete, so besides the rotors I think it is around $40 in brackets.
