I have a line on a 96 formula lt1/t56 car for cheap. I know the rear brakes will convert over to my 73 Nova. My question is, are the front brakes on these cars even worth thinking about using for a conversion. If so, what parts do I need.
Thanks,
Kevin

Rear brakes...yes. Front brakes...no. Sorry, just not worth it. You'd be better off and money ahead to run the factory 1973 OE discs over the LT1 units IMHO.

One spirited drive in an LT1 fbody will let you know how crappy the brakes were on those cars. You could make up great ground by using an aggressive brake pad like the Hawk HP+ but they really are too small for performance driving a heavy car

Thousands of LT1 4th gen f-body owners have done the conversion to the LS1 dual piston calipers.
