Hi, Let me know what you think about my car. It is a 72 Road Runner with a 500 HP Viper engine with a Tremec 6 speed. The torsion bars have been replaced with coil-overs in front via new Alterkation K member and leaf springs replaced with Art Morrison sub frame in rear. I finished the car in time to go to Goodguys Lone Star Nats in October, where it was very well received. Check it out in Goodguys March Issue. I plan on being at several shows this year and driving it to Pleasanton in August, Maybe I'll see some of you around.

Nice project. I noticed your shifter looks different from the standard Viper unit. Can you provide some info? Source? Part #? A few of us on here have Viper T56 trannys and need to swap to something like what you're running.
Thanks

i dont want to sound like an ass, but thats not a B&M shifter, thats a Hurst Billet Plus from a RAM SRT-10....its got a longer main shaft to get up into the cab...check out my link. look at the pics. i got the same shifter and my T-56 was out of an 04 RAM SRT-10.

if you could see under the boot you would find a brand new B&M shifter for the viper, it had a sharp left offset that was removed so I could mount the ball and shaft to the center. The ball shaft bezel and boot all came from a 1998 Viper. what you have was made for the truck we did not use the one you see in the picture. thats a pretty good eye.

How bad was this thing to install? Did you have to cut the firewall for the tranny and motor or just the tranny? I wouldnt mind a auto tranny behind one... not sure how much I want to cut my car up though... love the idea for sure...

Here's a pic of my Viper T56 and shifter....I'm going to need something different also so the shifter will hit the hole in the console.
