I'm trying to get a really flush look on my 67 camaro with stock rear end. I know a lot of people recommend a 18x9 with a 5'' bs on the back but I want to run a 18x10 with maybe 5.5bs (i think that is right) just to get the extra lip and wide look.

I hope that makes sense. I was told I couldnt put a 9.5'' wheels on my subaru before but me and some other owners did it anyways and now a lot of people on the subarus are doing it.

I'm not saying I'm doing something new in the camaro world. But I dont want to run the most aggressive/functional fitment possible. I'm willing to pull/trim the rear inner fender but I can't do to much because the body is already painted.

Let me know your thoughts on this and if it's possible? I just want the flush look instead of the tucked look.

Maybe I should just run a 18x9? And the half sizes aren't available to me because I can't afford a three piece wheel. :pat:

cutting would be my first choice if you don't want to do any bodywork and paint, I recently did 67 with 22x10 Forgiatto's not sure on the specs, but they fit pretty well after trimming

Running 17x10 in the rear for years already. I did however move the inner fender closer to the framerail. There are others on this forum who are also running 10 inch wide rims w/o a (real) minitub.

any benefits on running a 18x10 vs 18x9 even if I'm only running a 275/40?

I'm curious on how you moved the inner fender (inner fender well?). Did you push it in just to gain a little clearence, or cut and weld to gain 1/4" or more?

Thanks!

Cut and weld the inner fender and you gain more than 1". Have a proper look underneath your car and you will see where you can gain room. You're mostly limited by the shock.

I have 18X10's in the rear of my 67 Camaro. 5.5"bs, and 275/35/18 tire. Fits great with roller fender lips, on the side that fits. The passanger side sticks out, and i firued out the fender is 1/4-1/2" narrower due to quarter panel install. It needs to go in 3/4" or 1" so I'm gonna cut the one side of the rear end by 3/4, or 1/2" and move rear over 1/4" since I have room to do so on the other side. Then also beat on the inner fender to hopefully make sure it doesn't rub. LOL when it doubt beat it out. I MADE my a arms fit, just a dash of grinding on the bushing and banging on the subframe, lots of grease, a floor jack to hold it up and a big ass hammer to hit it from the side and ta DAAA!!!!
