Im restoring a true 65 chevelle ss and trying to find out on suspension parts forsale... I see listings for 64-68 and for 68-72 on a number of suspension parts.. Is there a difference? I understand they are "a" body cars. But im confused. Help!

64-67 have one frame and 68-72 is another frame. There are slight differences throughout.
1. The 68-72 rears are 1" wider.
2. The front lower control arms have two kinds of bushings.
I'm sure there are other small variations ... these are off the top of my head...

In addition to what Rich listed, the rear lower control arms are the same but the upper control arms are longer on 64-67.

Are you searching for stock parts for the '65 you are working on? If so, let me know, I have a COMPLETE front suspension from a '65 I will gladly sell you.

Yeah, that's an important thing to know. Stock or MODIFIED.
Hoping you're going to modify that Chevelle. I drive a 65 too. We're a rarity so I thought I'd speak.

I can't help you if you are looking for aftermarket/modified stuff. Sorry. All I have is the stock stuff that came from a '65 that I bought as a rolling chassis.

Most everything for your car is going to be 64/65 only.
