Well,

Most people call me Leon, I am Jet Engine Mechanic by trade so tinkering is kinda natrual to me. didn't really know much about cars until i was forced to spend 9 months in Iraq with a complete Bow Tie, GearHead NUT! (btw i'm a Marine stationed in Ca). i made the diasterous decision to tell him i was intrested in a first gen Camaro. Long story short i got one right when i got back! not really knowing what i was doing it kinda sat in the back burner while i helped a buddy of mine with his stunning 69' Firebird Resto.
Well a couple of months down the road i'm droppin several G's on a complete TCI front subframe, A arms, Brakes, Rear-end, and four link system!!!! i have i sound build sheet for a stout 396 and i'm on my way.

So, Wish me luck and i have pleanty of pictures if there are any questions.

-Leon-

P.s. i still have all the original stuff i took off the front, if anyone's intrested?

Hi Leon,

I'm curious ... Jet Engine Mechanic's jobs are like ! Details...Details....Details.....

I bet you could apply your Jet Engine experiences in restoring cars...and I'm sure it'd be an outstanding one !

All the best to your new venture !

Cheers,

GM.

Well GM after that you put it that way. i never really knew much about (car) engines before but i dove into the subject and although there is a lot of clearences and specs to be measured, they are in many ways similar to jet engines in that you have to be absolutely meticulous with your building and planning.
I currently am a Quality Assurance Inspector for 3 different Jet engine Modles so i guess you can say i'm nit picky about my work. what helps alot is the fact that my dad is also in aviation and he works on what we call AIRFRAMES for Boeing. Airframes is any and all sheet metal and composite manufacturing.
well that's really it, i guess? if you have any questions about the field i'd be happy to answer.

I'm down in Coronado most of the time. If you are down in that neck of the woods, shoot me a PM.
