Looking for drivers/ teamates for the 2010 24 hours of lemons at sears point/ infineon in march. Are teams entry has already been accepted unfortunalty some of our prospective team members have fallen through and the deadline to pay fees is this saturday. If we are unable to find new team mates quickly we will lose are spot in the field.

My partner and i raced at thuderhill last november with another team and due to conflict of intrest and poor team management my partner and i decided to strike out on our own.

Our team theme is Team FURBY. we plan on racing a vw bug cuvered in fur, as we have years of experiance building and racing them. Also as bug motors are not the most reliable when built to make power we are switching to a rotory power plant.

Anyway since are theme and prospective car have already been accepted we do have to stick with that. But we are open to any input from all team members should you chose to join us.

Like i said the deadline for our entry fee's is this saturday. I know chistmas just passed and extra money isnt just laying around. This is a great chance to have some fun racing heads up door to door on a closed track. So please think it over but think quickly. We have a full shop in Antioch CA to build and maintain the car. we just need drivers/ builders and funding. contact either me

Hi Alex and Scott. This is possibly a great opportunity for me. I live in Walnut Creek and work in Benicia. Let me give it some thought for about a day and get my questions together and I'll get back to you.

How many total do you need on your team?

Thanks,
Steven

I raced late model stock cars in Stockton and a few other tracks. I also have a few hours track time at TH.... What kind of money are we talking?

Just to keep are teams pre registered spot its 500 per team and 100 each individual driver. Then whatever costs we as a team decide to spend on safety equipment and consumables we would break down and divide the cost evenly. So cage, seat, belts, tires, any brake upgrades are all free game as far as money spent. The car is suposed to not be worth more than 500 dollars except for safety equipment as mentioned. The hope is that we potentialy could be racing three or four times this season with the same car. So that once the car is built it would just be a matter of fuel and maybe tires as a repeating cost. And whatever cost we encure duing are race weekends, food, fuel for the race car and trucks to get the team to the track and any other cost involved in suporting a race team for a weekend would all be totalled up and split. If your really interested give my partner a call at our shop and he can give you a better idea of what its going to cost initially to build the car and then what a typical race weekend would cost.

Im sorry im not more prepared, we thought we had a full team but two of the other drivers backed out at the last minute. Like i said our team is already pre aproved and on the entry list for the race, but in order to keep that spot we need to fill the now open drivers seats by saturday and get are teams fees paid.
