Getting ready to order some wheels and tires and was pretty set on getting 335s in the back. I'm thinking I am going to go with an 18 wheel at this point. I noticed that BFG makes a 345/30/18 drag radial which is not much larger than the regular 335/30/18 tire:

335:
13.5 on 12"
25.9 diameter

345:
13.8 on 12"
26.2 diameter

I currently run these same drag radials on my 05 GTO (although 275) and like them. Would not mind using them on my 69 Camaro project also.

Will these fit with a g-link, narrowed housing, and DSE tubs?

A 335 is a tight enough squeeze on a mini tubbed 1st gen as is. If you want to pull a couple measurements, I could dial it in and see where we stand.

They will fit but not ideal if you plan to run the twisties. For street and drag it wold be ok. For road race and autocross, forget it.

We have done plenty of 345s, Vegas 69s car being one of them. Project EmptyNest and Project Prodigy both run 345s also. But I will tell you that 345 drag radial is a WIDE 345. If we installed the tubs, Icould make them work. But 90% of people do not push them in quite far enough. That is why Vegas 69 wheels fit. But we had to rehoop his wheels to make them fit. We orginally built 13" wheels (my fault) and they were not even close to clearing, but reducing the wheels to 12s made it possible.

As for working with your G Link, tht depends on how your G Link link is configured. We have installed a few, sold a lot of these G Links, and have been able to clear the biggest wheels and tires.

Here is a pic of one we just sent home to California with 335s, you can see room to spare.

Feel free to call and discuss. I have no problem sharing my personal experiance

FYI, Our 345/30/18 on 12s were closer to 14" section on the rub rails. But the tires on Payback are 14" also, so it can be done

Frank you guys do some really nice work.

In your oppinion will 265/40/18's fit on the front of a 1969 Camaro running a 9.5" wheel?

not on the 9.5, but on a 9 we can do it with Some rubbing. Our customer Patrick runs 265s on the front of his 68.

Those 335's look great, are those wheels 18x12's or bigger?

thanks

Wow that yellow cars wheel / tire package is exactly what I am going for in my build. I know this thread is years old (Google works!) but hopefully I can still get some information on it.

I am assuming that is a 18x8.5 up front? I could be wrong because its not stated. And from the text a 18x12 in the rear. Ive been searching hard and havent been able to find any solid measurements. Could someone PLEASE tell me the width of that rear axle as well as the offset on the rear wheels? Also the dimensions on the front wheels? IT would be greatly appreciated. I have seriously been looking for these dimension for months. I finally got my DSE 4 link and tubs in the mail yesterday (8/31) so I am starting to install all that but I will be stuck once it comes time to get a rear axle.

I was told I could do a 4.87" offset up front with my DSE strong arms and drop spindle. The wheels I am purchasing can be made with a minimum offset of 4.25", BUT I am scared that with a 12" wheel in the rear and the minimum offset that rear lip is just going to be un-proportional. I want to make it proportionate to the front lip and I would say that this car achieved proportion. Please help!
