Any help would be appreciated...

Does anyone know how to turn the "mouse eye" off? My cursor wants to stick in the upper right hand portion of the screen. I would prefer to turn the touch-pad/ball off and use an external mouse with a usb port.

Should be under the control panel to turn it off.

I have tried the control panel. This stuff gets frustrating...fast.

Have you just tried to plug the usb mouse in? it may just do it all on its own or promt you on what to do. You might need drivers for the mouse which you can get from an update at microsoft.

go to your C-panel then select system then the Hardware tab then device manager. From there you can uninstall the touchpad driver which should disable it.
