Yeah I know that road I had to come pick my friend up and drive him to the hospital after he crashed and his head went through his wind shield. Luckly he was ok but I yelled at him for about 2 hours about not wering his seat belt, what an idiot.

My wife and I visit there pretty frequently, I'm always jealous of your roads. We fly into San Jose and drive to HMB via 92, that is a guaranteed stress reliever for us.

I really have to get out on that road. I haven't been on that one yet. I have taken a few others though. Try Mt. Hamilton Road, Crow Canyon Road, Woodside Road, Kings Mountain Road, Highway 9...... Damn. That's just the beginning too!!!! In fact, I just got back from Brentwood and took Vasco Road. Awesome. Went there last night, and at 1 in the morning, with no traffic, it's insane.
Oh, and Q-ship, there's some nicer trips than that if you want to try them. They'll take a little longer, but well worth it.

I can't get the mapquest thingie to work. Please post a picture of the map. How many miles long is the road. Not that it matters, Im already jealous. The only way to do a 10 mile run on twisty roads here on long island is by stringing together five 2-mile long roads.

I cannot remember the name but there is an equally vicious and awesome stretch of road that starts around St. Mary's College in Moraga and goes on for miles. My buddy works at St. Mary's and as soon as my car is ready to roll I am taking him on it. I have an inline 6 so the speeds will be manageable, and when the LS1 goes in someday it will get even better.

Hey Jeff, are you thinking of Skyline Drive? I've been on a couple roads up there and yes, they are fun.
Steevo, buddy...... Woodside Road alone is at least a 2 hour drive to the coast. Then you have to drive up the coastal highway up to Half Moon Bay to get up to Highway 92. Trust me, it's an entire day of fun!!!! Just make sure your passenger doesn't get motion sickness. Hmmm..... Now does anyone see a reason that there are a few members here in the SF Bay Area? We may not have the tracks, but we do have plenty of little fun spots to get in trouble in. Oh, and most of these roads are through great forested areas. Nothing like the sound of V8 echoing through the trees on a beautiful sunny day.... I miss driving my car so much... Sniff, sniff.....

Allen,
I think you nailed it! I can't wait to get my car driveable again so that I can cruise roads like that. Unfortunately it is way too stiff for my wife, but I do plan on taking day trips up to Mendocino to play golf with a friend of mine or my son, as well as hitting the local roads and Thunder Hill.

naww, jeff's talking about Canyon and St. Mary's road, its cool but a very dangerous 2 lane road...atleast the last time I been there. Its a back road I use to take to St.Mary's from Hercules.
Hey Jeff, any chance of your car going by July?? :drive2:

Vince,
Not until next year, but it should be fired up for the first time in 3 years this summer (world's longest minitub project, ballooned into a lot of other related mods). I should receive the front 19x10's this week, as well as the rear stainless brake hoses, and just got exhaust parts to finish that up. Also need to finish up the dual battery system, but I have 1 week of school left before I graduate so everything sits. Any free time is spent working on the dang house, every job takes 10 times longer than normal...
Have you finished moving yet? PM me with some info so I know when to setup a visit to the old shop!
