Well after having it for 6 years, I parted with my 69 tonight. It was an original numbers matching car. I am having mixed emotions about the deal but the cash is helping to ease the pain. I guy made me an offer I could not refuse. Now I got some play money to really go all out on the lemans I got this week.
Ralph, I may have to do some of your ideas now!!

You know what? Its becoming easier for me to be less attached to my toys. Why? Because I know I'll have many more nice toys to come anyways. I'll probably be selling my '69 after the Power Tour this year, and starting a new pro-touring project.

i have one car, my 69, that i bought with a loan from a family member when i was 15. i worked construction for 5-600 hours to pay it off. ill always have this car. the 15-20 other projects ive bought and sold are just things i did not want to do to the 69. strip cars, unfinished projects, money makers etc. im personally attached to this car. the rest ill beat to death, rebuild, sell or part out they dont mean much.

Bill, bummer on selling the Camaro but cool on the Pontiac. I can't wait to see it in June.

You should throw some pics in your vbGarage. I'm sure we would all love to see it.

Bill,

Sorry to hear about the '69 selling. But, look at the bright side, now you're committed to that 455 LS1 / paddle shifted 4L80E, '04 Goat suspension and interior :).

The 69 is in my vbgarage.

I told the buyer and his buddy about the website and the event here in June. They will be here so everyone can still see the car then.

See Lemans pictures below

Hey Bill! That thing has NASCAR flaps on the roof! You can do 190 mph in reverse and it won't lift and flip!

Yeah, that was a special option that year! Prototype for NASCAR to test :lmao:

No promises but we hope to have several events around the country, not just here. Hopefully we will have one close enough that you can make! :icon996:

Wow! What a beauty. I like the Vette too. I think you (we) will have a lot of fun with the LeMans. I call shotgun!

After looking at someone's 68 camaro for about an hour this afternoon, I already know what kind of wheels I want :naughty: :naughty:

That's ugly to do the poor boy that way! Anyway, you're still gonna let me drive that car when you come through Atlanta, right? Like you promised. I've got a line of people here wanting to try it! :drive: Bring it to Year One this weekend and run it at Road A!:poke:

Ok, but if you do it at least charge them each a few buck so an can afford to fix the damage...

At least I have an extra set of new back tires.. I think Im going to need them.. soon :hand:
