might be moving to Atlanta just wondering who lives down there and what they think, what kind of stuff there is to do for a guy in his 20's, also hows the car scene?

Hotlanta car scene is healthy, converging styles blending there, from Nascar to big hoops, trucks, bikes, and 4WD, many tracks nearby.
Get some good security and manual way to disable your car though, theft is quite active there too.
I have several friends live there and they love it.
The beach is pretty close too!
You're going to love those Georgia peaches....lol

GA is not bad. There is plenty of things to do. The car scene is pretty good. There are things going on all year long. I'm going to a sunrise service/ cruise in new years morning. You should have a good time if you move here. The classic car thiefts have gotten pretty bad here. So be careful and protect your car.

Plus. You got to love G.R.I.T.S!!!!!

Welcome
Ga. is a nice place to live.
North of Atl. is the best, IMO. LOL!

Atlanta area car scene is great.
There is a lot to do down here..
There is a very actice "Cruise In / Cruise Night" scene in almost every hometown..
Especially Canton , Dallas , Cartersville, and Rome
There's lots of car hobby enthusiasts that live in Ga. too.
A lot of do-it-yourself / hotrodders ..
This area is great for the car hobbyist ...
Keep in touch with me and David Sloan , we'll hang out..

Atlanta to the coast is 250 miles +/-. To me anything like that is close enough. As an irrelevant example, from my city to Colo Springs, Colorado is 15 hours (900 miles), 12 of them STILL in Texas...psht! 4 hours to the coast is nothing...lol

I moved from Chicago to Atlanta. I think the car scene in the Atlanta area is great.

250?!?!?!? Geez, Where I am it is 56 and I rthink i am too far. Hell, that is more than from my house to Vegas.

As for the Texas driving, my dad once told me about driving through Texas. A sign on the side of the road near a gas station read:
"The sun has ris
the sun has set
and here we is
in Texas yet"

If you can afford to live ITP and work there also, you'll be fine with traffic. If you're OTP, you better live real close to where you work or you're screwed, lol. ITP is inside the perimeter and OTP is outside. 285 is the perimeter. Traffic blows because the infrastructure wasn't planned correctly. Aside from that, if you like cities, ATL is good.
