I saw these pictures and thought it was an interesting comparison. To me, it puts a whole new perspective on the 2010 body lines.

Nice pair, that third gen looks exceptionally clean. If you get rid of the anemic powerplants that they offered then, they are great cars and have nice lines. I would rather have a properly modded third gen over a bone stock 5th gen.

I like them both...
the 3rd gen is a great looking example.
Too bad the 3rd Gs had sucky motors and too bad the newest versions are so dang heavy.

Thats an easy fix. With how cheap a LSx,LQ9 , Etc, are these days. Its a cheap swap for a 3rdGen. Then ya have the best of both worlds.

My twin brother and I kept selling a 88 IROC back and forth. We would both keep improving it and then sell it to each other. It was kind of funny looking back. We both loved that car. We ended up selling it to our much younger brother for next to nothing when he turned 16 and he promptly drove it into a 12" curb at 50 mph. Not a single panel, wheel or line was straight after that, complete total.
Sorry for the story I just miss my third gen and had to tell the story
