So my big question is, is it safer? My dad got an attachment for a pressure washer for $50 to remove graffiti off his wall, and while skeptical I went over this morning to do it and I'll be damned it worked and very well. Anyway is a p100 respirator filter good enough? or should I still use supplied air?
In addition anyone use something like this on body panels? The water should prevent the media from heating the metal right? All I'd have to worry about is stopping rust from forming after by treating the metal?

I guess it will work. If your going to do it on a whole car, I would suggest doing small sections at a time to minimize rust formation. Treat the areas then cover with plastic till your done. I am very curios how this turns out, automotive paint is much stronger than spray paint.
Just like sand blasting; keep the media moving.

No plans to do the whole car, I soda blasted the majority of the body already. I still have the fenders and the hood, which are off the car, and thought about doing those out in the field. I really don't want crap in all the nooks and crannies as it never seems to come out regardless of how much you try to blow it out or vacuum it up.

Well it works very well... but damn it eats a lot of sand. 100lbs of play sand almost finished one side of the hood and it roughens up the metal pretty good. Flash rust is not an issue after hitting it with fast etch or similar product after you're done and will keep it good for a few days outdoors. Just don't leave it out sitting in the sun exposed to moisture for over a week, ask me how I know.
