Shocks??

Just what some of you guys are running for shocks? I know alot of you are going with the coil overs, but I am not at a point in my budget to spend that kinda jing. I was curious if anyone has had any experience (bad or good) with Edelbrock IAS shocks? I want to get some shocks for the front of my car and I figured the best time to install them would be in a week or two when I am putting in my Hotchkis kit. The QA1 are nice shocks but at $140 each that is kinda high. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions? The Edelbrocks go for $69 each. And I know you mostly get what you pay for and I don't want to make it sound like that is all I am after is a price tag, but to most of us, that is a big key factor. I know you guys will come through because you always do! Thanks in advance!

Justin, I went with the Eddy IASs all around. I haven't tried them out yet but I've heard good things from others. They're probably not as good as QA1s or Bilsteins, but I just can't swing those now.

I've heard a lot of good feedback on other forums regarding the Ebrocks but I don't have any first hand experience with them. They strike me as an intermediate offering between run of the mill parts store stuff and the start of high end stuff like Carrera and Koni. If you speak to Edelbrock about them, they will tell you that each shock is tuned for the intended application so you shouldn/t crossbred or mix up their applications, which is probably true for about 90% of the buyers out there.

I'll second that Bilstein unless you want to spend real money and get something a little more exotic.

Where does a fella pick up a set of decent Bilsteins? And are there certain rates I want to look for? And in general what is a price tag on them?

At "Scummit". Around $80-90 each. That´s what I paid for them to my Camaro.

Thanks to Chicane - I bought Bilsteins at shox.com. Priced the same ( approx ) as IAS'. I have the IAS on my GMC and they're fine. For similiar money though, I'd buy the Bilsteins.

Hey guys, I went to shox.com and they have the Bilsteins, but is there a certain part number to look up? They don't list a Nova or 1st gen Camaro in there cars selection! And also is there any certain valving I am looking for? Thanks a bundle!
