hey guys, lets just say that on my camaro the rear leafs were gone, the inner wheel houses were no where close to the tire and wheel offset could be anything, what would be the widest tire I could fit to the frame rails with out notching them? 295? 305? maybe 315??

I don't quite understand your question, the only way the inner wheelhouses would not be close to the tire is if they were cut out. They would be the first thing you hit before the frame. At that point you may as well mini-tub it. Camaros just dont have alot of room for tires bigger than a 275 back there without cutting. I've minitubbed mine and it gives all the room you need up to 335's.

We have some crzay plans for the back if this car, the wheel houses are going to be all reworked but we can't cut, notch, or move the frame rails.... Just askin the max wheel size b4 having to mess with the frame.

I'm running 285/40-17 on a 10" wide rim on my 67. I had to move the inner wheelhouse towards the frame rail to make it work. Moving the shock to the inside of the frame rails will also help although I did it w/o.

This is exactly what we've been trying to explain to another customer.

Back to the thread, if all that was removed, I don't see why you couldn't run a 305 on a 10 wheel on a car with no inner wheel tub to worry about, just the frame.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping at 295 to 305 would fit. Looks like it will work out....
