Thanks for the periodimages of the factory. I don't think weoften remember the level of committment, both personal and industrial, made to the war effort.

There were over 12,500 Fortress' built in over a 10 year period, compared to less than 750 B-52's, 100 B-1B's, and 21 B-2's

You've gotta love the ash trays on the sides of the control boxes. Smoke'm if you got em!

they said the ash tray pieces are actually 37 ford

A project like that takes a serious commitment of discretionary income even if alot of the labor is donated. Vintage aircraft are near and dear to me. I have been restoring vintage aircraft for close to 20 years

It always amazes me how Small they actually are up close !!

Except a British Lancaster Bomber - couldnt believe how Big that one was. :)
