Ok, I've done the research and tried to figure out what I need to do to make these wheels fit my application. I'm looking for a little help from the wheel/tire pros here. I really want these wheels on my car, trying to do something different than the deep dish look. I am in the process of building a '67 Camaro w/ DSE mini tubs & Quadra link rear suspension. It will also have the DSE sub-frame as well. I wanted to go with 18" wheels all the way around, but if I want these wheels, I have to go 19". I'm at the point where I can build the car around this wheel application if necessary. I just want to know if it's feasible, or better yet possible. I haven't seen it done, hence the reason I want to do it. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

I've already got a call into HRE to try and get more info. Just thought I'd post this here in the meantime while I'm waiting to hear back.

and just could not find a used set or make myself buy a new set. I did however find a used set of HRE C21's 18x9.5 and 19x12 that will be going on my 69. I have a different front sub frame and a stock C6Z06 offset and width work perfectly for mine. As far as fitment, call DSE and they will give you the offset you need for the front and HRE should have no problem machining them up. For the rear you could order them in a standard C6Z06 offset in a 12 inch width and build the rear to fit. I will have that measurement for you soon.

I like the flat faced look...Great choice!

Well, thanks to Frank at Prodigy and Chris at HRE, I have the wheels I wanted. I was keeping this on th DL until I got a little further in my build, but it looks like I'm not alone with the full face monoblok look on 1st gens. So here's mine. Still need to build the rear end, but with Frank's help it will fit perfect when it's done. The wheel is literally sitting on my garage stool under the car, but you get the idea

19x12 w/ 325/30 Michelins PS2's
19x9 w/ 255/35 Michelin PS2's

Enjoy!

looks good! you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a rear that will fit. i am sticking out my 20x13's with 8" backspace and not even minitubbing. will be using the unwanted 73-86 f150 9" due to it being so wide at 65.25" will still need 1.5" spacers too, but that ford 9" is the widest rear i can find.
with you minitubbing and holding them in, you should be able to find something without too much trouble or expence in shortening one.

That looks sick. Been waiting for someone also to run the P40 on a 1st gen. Killer!

One of my favorite wheels of all time. I have a set on my Viper coupe too. I'd put them on all of my cars, but that would be a little weird :)

There is also a newer model of the P40 out, called P40-S. It is even lighter, has side pockets machined on the spokes, and more material removed between the spoke and drop center area. I just sold a set to a local Z06 customer.

HRE also recently came out with a 3-piece version of these above, which would be very simple to build for other musclecar guys. Check out the 590-RS, also available in 18s

If anyone needs pricing, please contact me. Don't expect HRE wheels to be cheap though ;)

Yeah, I saw the new P40S at SEMA this year. I had HRE change my order from the P40 to the P40S, but it was too late. So, I got the P40. I'm not complaining though, they are beautiful and HRE made it right.

BTW - the 1/4 panel on the pic above is not even welded on the car yet. So, ignore the huge door gap, in case anyone was wondering. :)

Funny you mention SEMA, as I had this customer sold on the P40 already. When I saw the P40S on display, I snapped a photo and sent him a text about it. He asked for me to order them instead. I dig both versions a lot. I can't wait to see them on your finished car! What color are you painting the Camaro?

Still up in the air on the color. However, after seeing the brushed wheel against the black EDP coating on the 1/4's, it might be Black after all!

Wheels look sick on your Camaro.

Nineball, the wheels look sick on your Viper, too.

I think these might be the wheels for my Nova, might have to do a little photoshopping to see what they'll look like.

Frank

I should have the 1/4's finished up by the end of the month. Once they're done I can get the measurements for the rear end. I have a few ideas on what I'd like to do, so I'll be giving you a call soon. I've just been busy at work, so it's a little slow going at the moment. Talk to you soon!

Man, these are the wheels I want to run on my 67 C-10... I think I'm gonna go with black instead for finish. Now all I need is to find a buyer for one of my kidneys so I can order 'em.
