I have a 42 Caddy that was built in the first 2 weeks of December 1941. I need to do some more research but it would be something if it was built on 12/7/41

Like Darrin said, a must see if your ever over there. I spent a day there with my daughter a few years ago. I could not believe how wierd I felt when we went through the monument out in the harbor.Very touching !!!!

history channels "wwii in hd" and "band of brothers" are 2 series that should be required in all schools. it really was the greatest generation, and thats coming from a 26 year old.

I forgot until I read this. Thanks for reminding me.
I actually called one of the men from church that I admire greatly to thank him for what he did. He was on one of the ships there that day. He told me the story once, he was on the deck of a ship that did not go down (don't remember which one) and was barely missed by a suicide bomber going straight for them and it was shot by a big gun and went just over his head and into the water. He said it was so close he thought it hit his head.

Those men are REAL MEN! Hate to loose them.

Thanks for mentioning Pearl Harbor !!
We must always remember the veterans who served and/or died to preserve our freedom.
We would have nothing without them.

I agree. Glad you reminded everyone that yesterday was the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. One of my families friends was at Pearl Harbor. He was an Alamo Scout during the war. The things these people did are amazing. Anyone who has served in our military deserves our complete respect, but that is just my opinion.

It's funny how fast people forget.
I was watching a film on Hitlers henchmen on A&E recently and my daughter walked in and said, "what you watching Pops"?
"A movie about Hitler", I replied.

She says, "Hitler? Wasn't he one of those War guys?

Geeese......Makes me wonder what she does know of our history.
Perhaps it's now politically incorrect to teach certain parts of our past.

To all those brave men who lost their lifes that day, we pay our respect,
and to all those brave men that made sure we got just vengeance, we are forever in debt.
