few new pics of my ride, whatcha think...

just thought i'd post a few pics of my girl. finally got her on the road today, and figured i'd snap a few good ones. she's not near finished, but getting closer everyday. bad thing is, she'll be put on a boat this thursday heading to Germany! well, i guess thats also a good thing. i can't wait to get her over there, and hopefully one day make it to Nürburgring. I have to thank the wife for helping me get to this point. without her help and support, i could have never got this far by myself. i had people who were supposed to help while i was deployed, but things fell through, and i am trying my best to finish everything. at least i can say i did the work on my car, and not some shop or somebody else. not saying that no one could do what i did, but its a nice sense of accomplishment doing it by myself. it just sucks being on such a time crunch and all the stress. oh well, hopefully i can meet up with some good PT members in Germany and find a shop or two to hang out in and work on my car in. we'll see. anyway, let me know what you think about my ride. thanks for looking.

thanks for the compliment. the stripe is actually a charcoal color with a black pinstripe. it was painted on. i think it actually turned out pretty good.

believe it or not the color is the same as one of the color choices on the new camaro. its called red jewel tincoat. still haven't seen a new camaro with it yet though...

without a doubt. i will hopefully have some stories, and hopefully video this next summer on the ring. we'll see. not sure how hard it is to get on there, but i have seen track days where people run all kinds of cars out there...

yep, its a tri-coat. went down smooth, no issues with the paint.

i chose my color long before the 2010 camaro came out. when i found it it was an option on the new camaro, it got me thinking about buying one the same color as mine and giving it the same treatment, i.e. charcoal hockey sticks, charcoal tail panel, and a nice set of ZE forged wheels. i think it would be pretty cool to have both side by side with a similar theme to them.

thanks to everyone for the compliments. she got loaded up in the container yesterday, bound for Germany. the guys at the dock were actually cool enought to let me pull her into the container. they were awesome. they even put on white cotton gloves before touching her. i must say i was impressed. i'm still gonna stress out like crazy until she arrives in Germany though. oh well, only 4 more weeks to go...

thanks, i had no issues with the valve covers. mine came with baffles and breather holes. i really like the clearance they give for my valvetrain, and they still clear everything else under the hood...

It sure would be nice!! Amsterdam - Stuttgart is around 620 km (385 miles). We're planning a trip to a show in Germany next year in August if I'm not mistaken.

still got a lot of bugs to work out. haven't really driven her yet, and with the weather here, it may be a little while before i can. it snowed the last 3 days here, and was about 6 degrees yesterday:eek:

definately will keep in touch, i look forward to it. i'll let you know if i hear of any major shows. its nice being able to talk with others who share the same interests. i've already had the good fortune to get some help from another PT member over here with getting my car picked up. this is by far one of the best communities i have ever had the privilige(sp?) of being a part of. i love this place, great people, great cars and some great friends. what else could you ask for...
