Damn craigslist... as if the $600 '78 Firebird wasn't a terrible temptation, then I find this running driving '75 Buick Century 2 door for $400. Hmmm... $400 is less than $600... maybe Mrs. 'buddha will consider it. Why can't I find a decent Mustang II for this kinda cash?

Buy it.
Tell the wife you heard her talking about how she wanted a '75 buick in her sleep and you felt obligated to comply. She might find it funny enough to let you keep it.

All the cheap Mustang IIs around here are out pounding the crap out of the FWD cars in the compact DEMO DERBYs... I know, I was in one of the FWDs :drive: out of 26 total cars, I placed 6th (the last remaining FWD!) the top 5 were mustang IIs and pintos.

Compact demo derby? I didn't even know that was going on... However, instead of a Mustang II, I've been considering buying a Pinto since they can still be found pretty easily for cheap, especially since seeing the PT Pinto being built. In fact, I've occasionally seen built-but-never-run or simply never wrecked Pinto ministock cars that sell for under $1000 with full roll cage, fuel cell, etc. Seems like a cheap way to get a cool PT project.

Just the intimidation factor of seeing a Pinto flying at you in reverse is worth using one. Even if the fuel tank isn't there anymore.
