I am building a 74 cuda and was planning on using the XV level II front and rear suspension, but was curious about the short top bar on the three link suspension. Most of the three links I see available for the camaro's use a much longer top link that intrudes into the rear seat area. Will using the short top link be detrimental to the performance of the rear suspension? Thanks for any help.

The shorter arm moves the housing in a tighter arc at the ends of travel. During normal road motion it should not be that big of an impact, but if your dirving includes extremes in suspension travel, you have have pinion angle problems.

Given the amount of research and development XV put in to their kit, I'd have to say it is not an issue.

XV seems to have done very good on their engineering. Call them up and ask them the spcifics about the suspension geometry.
