I have never heard of BTO.
Look into Performance Automatic or Monster Transmission.

I would recommend the 4R70W transmission. Many people also call this an AODE. The difference in a AODE vs 4R70W is the gear ratios. The AODE gear ratios are: 1st - 2.40, 2nd - 1.47, 3rd - 1.00, 4th - .67 and the 4R70W gear ratios are: 1st -2.84, 2nd - 1.55, 3rd - 1.00, 4th - .70. This is a electronic controlled 4 speed transmission with a lock-up converter. So you will need a stand alone transmission controller, such as Compushift, PCS or Baumann. I recommend the Compushift as I feel it is a more dependable, most complete and user friendly controller on the market.
I also would not recommend just getting a transmission from a salvage yard or using a stock transmission. The 4R70W is a great transmission, however does require a few updates and upgraded internal parts to hold up to the increased torque / higher horsepower engines. I do recommend the 1998 up design, just be sure you use a two bolt starter style case to work with your small block. We build the 4R70W transmissions for Roush and they have been very impressed with the amount of abuse they can handle and how dependalbe they are. Roush now offers a Bowler 4R70W with all of thier crate motor packages. We even offer a 4R70W that will bolt to the Ford FE motor without the use of any adapter plate.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Thanks
