1968 Camaro Coupe, bought in Henderson North Carolina
Well ...I was registered before but lost all my info ..LOL go figure .....have been reading since the old board, drooling over the pics, tech articles and inspirations you have all givin me.
I grew up listining to my pops stories of his "judge" and his 69Z, He and his sister "my Aunt" tell me stories of their drag racing days, (the movie "Dazed and Confused pops into my head"!..LOL) So I have loved muscle cars since I was little, Also mechanics run in my family, Grandad had his own mechanic shop back in the day and used to turn wrenches on all these beauties, he is gonna teach me how to rebuild a turbo350 with a blind fold on this summer.
I am going back to school during the week after being laid off and working a full time job during the weekends, so I am only able to work on my money pit when I can. So far the darn tools are just about as expensive as the car was initally. I am trying to do all the body work myself and bought a Henrob to do all my welding with, trying to stay away from the mig welders, will get a tig eventually.
So far I am trying to do all my patch work, floorpans, trunk pans, and am dreading the window sills , so I can take it to the media blasters I found 20 minutes from me.
I am a Rookie when it comes to body work, learing new tricks with every piece, and am just getting cranking on this project, so don't fall out of your chair laughing when you see my pics...heh. :lmao:
