Thought It was time to move my car to the project folder :)
Well after upgrading tires/wheels, headers and exhaust today I started on the big brake upgrade. I very quickly found out I need to upgrade my wheel studs.
Can someone help with changing from the 7/16 to 1/2 with a 1/2" more threads. Anyone done this would you have the part number?
Here is the before and after of the front brakes. Still need to add the brake adapter plate.
Thanks,
John

Don't know if that's what you're looking for, but you can call Tobin at Kore3 and he should have an answer for you.

Thanks JC those are some long bolts. I would say no. I think you can just knock out the 7/16 and replace them with the 1/2 version.
But want to check first. I can call Tobin tomorrow.

Ok after a few hours of searching I found that my car OE studs are Dorman 610-259. These are 7/16-20 RH thread, have a .475" knurl diameter, and are about 1.75" long.
If I stay with 7/16 studs I can go with a Dorman 610-157 which will now be 2.125 long and give me the extra lenght needed.
Thought I would share this with others :)

JC Tobin hooked me up today with the bolts. He has them at the 2.125 which will work out.
For those DIY out there I down loaded the PDF of the C5 13" bracket which is out there. well it does not fit! So I made a new one today which works great. here it is, I also added a cross hair to make it easy to find the center of the hole

I used the TCI setup. I'm happy with the product, however, not happy with the customer service. Long delays, ship your order with missing part and backorder parts without telling you.
BTW I also finished the exhaust. I was able to fit it over the rear :)

It's alive :) Better video later. So I got here running after running 5 minutes at 2500 rpm to break in the cam, my headers glowed red, which tells me the timing is to advanced, corrected? I tried a base timing at idle and set it with the timing light to 15. So when running the car at 2000 I tried turning the distributor clock wise it starts to run like crap. I'm thinking at this point I may be off by one tooth. Which way should I move the dizzy by one tooth?
Any comments would be a great help.

Details on the RFID start?
Wesley a few months back I happen to be in China for some work. Next door they were making these RFID units. From my understanding they are the ones used in Lexus and Toyota. Well after some NY negotiation from $325 we left paying $65. :) I cannot tell you how she works until I finish wiring. But it has all the features auto start, walk away from the car it locks, alarm and other items.

Thanks John,
I did some searching around yesterday and they seem to be for sale at a few places but the websites are very Chinese and kinda scare me ;-) I'll make sure to watch your build and see what feeedback you have. All I'm looking for is a RFID push button ignition, so this unit looks to be a good deal at ~$100.
Oh ya, the car looks great!

Right now I want to rip it out :) it works to start the car and run, however the door locking and un-locking is give me nothing but problems. I have mess with it for 3 days now. I know it is a neg trigger and I know my relays are setup correctly, however, it seems to not pull enough neg ground to fire the relays.
I will come back to it another day. You have know your electronics because the directions are not the best.

Did some color matching so the fenders and header panel match the firewall/inner fenders :) Also undercoated the inner fenders.

Thank you Pete I love electronics also :) So the trigger from the unit is not pulling enough ground. So they will swap it out at a later date.

I'm real happy with it. I also had it on my other motor. Very quick to install, just make sure you run the hot (12v) and ground directly to the battery you cannot connect it to any other wires. Also, you can see I went with a new tank because I did not want to weld on the old one. You now need a return line for this setup.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
