Hi Everyone ! I'm Sergio from Argentina. I have a 79 MustangFox Hatchback Customization on process. First of all, I got to tell you that due to political restrictions in my country on importing cars, there are very few muscle cars. That's why they're so expensive. But between 1979 and 1981 politics about this stuff changed and many Mustang Fox and others not well-known Motor Companies( mostly non american ) were allowed to come in.
The basic idea of my project consists on :
1) Engine Swap from 2.3 Turbo to 302W All forged Internal 331 Stroker, Twin Turbo( Intercooled Air/Water) and programed Fuel Injection( Megasquirted )
2) Hybrid Platform : Fox and W202 C Class Mercedes.
3) Modified Mercedes Front and Rear Suspension
4) Mercedes Rear End ( on a 2nd Stage : ZF Transaxle )
5) Body modified ( angled windshield, little chop top, minimal ground effect,non air dam nor rear wing).
These mods don't change the original concpt of the 79 Mustang Fox Body lines.
6) 18x8 Front wheels and 18x10 Rear
7) All Interior Amenities: Leather Upholstery, A/C, Touchscreen LCD, etc.
8) Some carbon fibre parts.
I put all this under your consideration ( and knowledge ). In your opinion, what category do U consider this car ? Comment on this. Suggestions are really wellcomed ! Thanks. Sergio.
