is a tu1 comp turbo cam to big for a 5.3 with a mp t70. i was looking at speed inc and was going to get the springs and pushrods that go with it. they also have a tu0 which is smaller. any info would be awesome

tu0 is duration 216 / 216 lift 561 561 with 114 lsa

tu1 is duration 225 / 225 lift 581 581 with 113 lsa

both are comp turbo grinds. i was going to use a z06 cam but two different places told me they are on back order and didnt know how long.

you can pick up a ls6 cam(it that is what you meant by z06) for about 50-100 over at ls1tech or corvetteforum. I almost picked up a new take of for 50 but decided I dont need another part on my shelf.

yeah the ls6 or 02-04 zo6 cam. thats what alot of people are running in the 5.3 but i dont know if i like the idea of a used cam. thats alot of trust in someone you dont know when building a turbo motor!

I would say call speed and find out. That way if its not that can steer you in the right direction.
