Why do companies post hours if they don't intend to stay open for the hours they post.

On another note are these companies to good to answer their phones themselves? I have decided that if I call a company to spend my money with and a reall person doesn't answer the phone, I will not spend my money there. It may cost more to go other place, But I don't have to here a stupid recording.

I don't want to hear robots either, just make sure that you consider what time zone they are in.

Maybe they are busy working and aren't waiting around for you to call. :)

things to keep in mind. small companies really depend on people leaving a message. They can't afford to pay someone to answer the phone and put you on hold. So leave a message. If they don't call back, walk on.

If you get a computer asking for you to press different options, see the part above about not being able to afford someone to answer the phone simply to then put you on hold.

Lastly, the person who answers the phone may be busy because they are also the person who does the work. That's how it is with me. I can't sit on the phone all day. I'll gladly spend as much time as necessary with you but sometimes I may simply not be able to pick up. So leave a message as I will call back. Be patient. If you feel that you already have been, then walk on. Use capitalism to your advantage but do keep in mind that not every company operates the same.

We always got walk-ins 2 mins before we closed too so we shut down early as well. Those who wait until the last minute are almost always the biggest pain in the asses. Kind of like the same reason you don't walk into a restaurant 5 mins before they close and expect clean food and the entire place to wait on you hand and foot.

We do oil changes and tires among other things at my work place. We have people come in 15 minutes before closing time and expect an oil change and 4 tires... in 15 minutes??? And that's assuming we don't have other customers still waiting.

Our hours are 7am - 8pm 7 days a week year round.

It is Thanksgiving week as well. Many small businesses might be shut down or on limited schedules this week.

I'd rather wait for someone who knows the products inside and out to call me back than to have my questions answered quickly by a minimum wage temp who's reading the info off a computer screen.
