my brake pedal aint right...

when i did my automatic to six speed swap i bought some used 69 camaro pedals. the clutch pedal is in the right position but the brake sits about 4 inches higher then the clutch. i dont know why this would be. i know i can adjust the rod th bring the pedal down but then the brake light switch wont work properly, the pedal wont touch the switch. any ideas???

69 pedal are different than 67-68 pedals. You need the correct set of a 68 Camaro. They are about $80 for reproductions and they work great.

Here is a side view of our pedal arms comparing the two; '69 Camaro on the left, and '67 & '68 on the right. You can see how it would kick up your brake arm as you mention.
