How much HP & Torque do you guys think I would gain if I replace the Edelbrock Performer intake with an Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap?
Engine: 355, with GM Vortec heads, Comp 268 EX cam, 9.75 C/R, 750 performer carb, Headmen elite headers with 2.5” Flowmasters. It was dynoed’ @ 330HP and 389 #/ft of Torque at the rear wheels last year.

Oh trust me if your talking over the plain performer to the air gap you will notice a very good amount of torque increase and you will see a better curve also.
with your heads just make sure your intake and heads match the gasket, and you MAY even find the carb a tad big but its an easy adaptation, and dont forget the engien will need a complete retune, as in dialing all the timing curve and jetting.
Start with about 29-32 initial, use a fast a curve as you can without getting spark knock, and accelerate the best. THEN add in your vacuum advance with manifold vacuum and then tailor from there with adjustable vacuum can.
You will see an engine acts richer as the timing is advanced BUT the vortec heads do require less timing to run with good power.
You may need a Holley to get best performance out of it but get the edelbrock tuning kit to work on this one.

I agree, I think u have to much carb...I have a similar set with a comp roller and alum fast burn heads and it dyno'd better with a 600 carb

The Air-gap intake will give a better torque curve and hp.
The carb may be a little big..
Doesn't Holley make a 670 cfm Avenger carb ??
That would work good ..
Barry Grant carbs seem to work good..
Call Barry Grant and get a recommendation .
