posted this in other places w/ zero response. maybe one who owns a viper can help me out. Looking for the pigtail connector to the Vehicle speed sensor (VSS) on the tail of the trans. black do dad w/ gray connector. If you could provide a picture of the male portion and/or and stampings or marking on the connector, that would be a big help. trying to determine who manufactured it so I can obtain one for my project. so far duetch, weather pack and metri pack (150.2) are out. told fci maybe.:help!:

Tried viper salvage yards only to be told the part I need 'is just too small for to be bothered'. jerks:machine:

I'd just switch it to a Metripack & be done with it. Sometimes the Dodge stuff is about double what a MP will run you.

Just switch it to the GM plug... or just get the gm sensor. You should already have a 17 tooth wheel, right?

the GM sensor is a different diameter so I am told. Not sure what gear is in it. should be stock. I may switch it to MP if I can't find an answer soon.

Have you tried calling D &D? I think they use a lot of viper parts in their transmissions. Maybe they have one or can tell you what it is? Also, may want to see if its the same at the V-10 truck trans.

D&D uses their own thing. called already. the truck would have the same connector which I find out to be the same as the cam sensor in the V10. the MP solution is looking favorable.

What year Viper? Thing changed quite a bit between the 2002-and-older vs. the 2003-and-newer, and they changed again in 2008.

What are you doing for the required 5 volts to the VSS?

I have a Gen 2 VSS. don;t know actual year but was told late 90's -2000ish.

for the 5V, I am running Abbots Cable X. It should be setup to accommodate. we will see.
