Ok I've been thinking about this idea for a while. I need a relative small unit because i only have about 3 to 4 inches to my shock tower i might be able to get another inch cause im in the process of shaving the towers right now.
I've heard about the astro and the s-10s. How big in size are they?
I really dont think i could use a 96-04 mustang unit its alittle to big.
Now I dont have power steering, the cars steering actually not bad. The question is what do i do the outlet that goes to the rack? Do i block it or run it to the pump?

just curious why you want to run power brakes?
I have a 65 falcon and at 2699lbs it doesnt need power. Also i have a 245 tire in the front and i dont need power steering with 5* of caster.
just curious on your thought process. post up some more pics of your car!

I want power brakes cause theres been a couple of times in stop and go traffic that is got a lil close and power brakes would be nice. I think a hydraboost system would be different.
Heres a link to some pics of the car

thanks for the pics, great looking car.
Did you have to modify anything to get the 245 to fit in front? What diameter tire are you running front and back? Im asking because the 245 just clears everything on mine front and back. I designed and fabbed my front suspension to accomodate the wider wheel/tire.

Thanks
Well for the rear i used crites restoration leaf relocation kit which move the leafs inward 4 inches on each side. I also mini tubbed it to the frame rail. i gained about 2-3 inches with that. I run a 295/35 18 in the rear on a 18x9
For the front i took off the cover that goes over the coil and i cut off the hump on the control arm the goes over the ball joint (but reinforced it) and i run a 245/45 18 on a 18x8
I did trim down the lips on both front and rear to what a modern car has about and 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. I did have a 265/35 18 on there but i had this set laying around when i had a flat.
My turning radius is a little wide but i would not change it because i love the stance it has.

This unit is from an Astro Van. I think you will find all hydro boost units are about the same size.

All hydroboosts are the same size on the outside. One company makes them and they make one type. The insides are bored different sizes for different cars.
