Why can I not mirror a shelled object? It mirrors the solid but even if I select the sheel feature from the tree before mirroring, it still won't mirror the shell.

Also, what's this the surface is too curved for mirroring crap? I extruded one arm of a double sided swing arm. It's essentially a rectangular tube with a simple angle in it. I get that error when I attempt to shell also.

From what I remember Pro E will not mirror a shell. Pro E is very powerful but has some of the dumbest quirks I've ever seen. I wish you could take Pro E's powerful engine and combine it with Solidworks simple work structure and you'd have the best 3D modeling program out there.

Brandon, That would be CATIA.

I use CATIA everyday at work and for fun. It can mirror a shell. Sorry i cant help.

Based on your design can a create the geoemtry another way without using a shell. Like a thick pad? Or shell after the mirror?

Yep I knew that. :) Our CNC dept programmers use Catia, but we here in Design are still using Pro E. Wish I was using Catia.
