Any of you keep track of how much you put into your project? What all was done to it, what were the largest expense areas? What car and any pics?

I don't like to think about how much I have spent :(
I would like to say getting into this I knew the cost of the big ticket items: the car itself, LS1, t56, ford 9in. 4 bar, global west, QA1 goodies............................ the list goes on and on, but the thing that burns me is all the little stuff I never thought about that are needed to finish the job. Don't forget the details, it is VERY important or the project drags on and on while you wait for parts.

Yeah, there have been other threads, but maybe folks have spent more money since then... like me.
As for me, I'm into my Mach for just over $15k right now. It's still got a ways to go, and it sure as hell ain't as nice as so many of the cars on this board, but I also didn't want to go broke building it...

not enough......LOL....seriously, I still want to do a few suspension upgrades and motor upgrades.....and...and....LOL....see, it dont matter how much you have into it...cuase it just keeps snowballin........:)
hmm i think ive spent about a bah-jillion dollars id say
I'm not in too teribly deep on my 69 Firebird. No where near how deap I'm in on the Cobra.
I picked up the Firebird for 5K with the fresh 455 already in it.
Body panels: ~1500
Misc. trim pieces: ~500
Wiring: ~300
Obviosuly this doesn't include a lot of stuff but it's the majority of what I've needed to do to the car. I'll have another 1500 in paint supplies (I'll be painting myself) so there's some more cash. I'll have another 1000 in suspension componantry, and probably about 3000 in wheels. That's just to get started. Eventually I'll be adding a hair dryer to the engine, and I'd like to do something trick with the interior.
So all told right now I'm looking at just under 13K. This car isn't even as remotely nice as many on the boards however. If I had the available funds, I would not find it hard to put 100,000+ into this car.

Not many people have the balls to say how much $$ spent...
1967 RS/SS
$29K, has new paint, still needs assembly, electrical, engine accessories, trans, rear, plus nice seats...Probably 53K when finished. Yes it hurts, but its too late to stop...Because its all apart, it looks better before I started (see pic)

That is like asking a woman how old she is, or mistakenly asking a fat lady when she is due....It is just a question you don't ask....

hmm....well like these guys are saying a project like this is never truly finished. I have about 15K in mine and another 1,500 in suspension, paint-3K-My work with a little assistance, interior-$2,500, misc. body parts $1,500 and interior parts 1K, engine-$1,500 left to buy, A/C-$1,000. 25-30K roughly. There is always more parts you have to buy.
That is not including my hours of bodywork, assembly, driving to pick-up parts. I wish I was out of college....2 more years.

I have 23k not counting my labor which was 95% and alot of the stuff like body and interior work were dirt cheap since both people owed me favors.

Including buying my car i have under 15k total. I'd say parts that are still in it i have about 9-10k including buying it with the paint it has, LT1/T56 and everything else...If i get the job i'm looking at this summer i might have 10-13k more in mods coming :)

Between purchase of the car, the engine i'm having built, and the limited amount of stuff i've bought for my 67 SS so far, i'm right around $10K in to it. Still have paint/body, suspension, and a bunch of other stuff to do as well.
Yikes.
So far I'm right at $37K. All that and my car is only about 7% done.
67' Nova SS
LS1 with T56
Ford 9" with 3.50 posi
4 wheel discs
Heidts front with 2" spindles
Custom Stainless Gastank
Mini Tub to fit a 10" wide back wheel and keep back seat.
Full Airride with Shockwaves on all 4 corners.
Vintage Air.
Still needs:
Wheels and Tires
Body is almost ready for paint, was going to do it myself but now I think I will have it done professionally.
Interior is OK. But I will probably redo it also.
I'm still hoping to have it finished for about $50K!
Damn, that is a lot of money!!!!
