Hello everyone I'm Jim, I live in Colorado and am almost done restoring a 68 firebird, I need a little help on the exhaust. I have 3" dougs headers, I am torn between Borla exhaust, and flowmasters, any one have any experience with either of these?<a href="http://s156.photobucket.com/albums/t25/jimgriffith/?action=view&current=100_2583.jpg

We sell and install a lot of Magnaflow. All stainless X Pipe System, sounds great, makes great power, and is priced fair.

We have the 2 1/2" X pipe systems for $500 and free shipping, the 3" X Pipe system is $650 and free shipping.

Welcome to the site.

I like the sound of the Magnaflows. If you go to their webite, they have video clips of an actual 68 Firebird. Borlas seem to flow well and are pretty loud. Personally I think Flowmasters are junk (all sound, no flow). Any independent flow testing data I've seen has show them mid-pack at best, and lots of people complain of resonance. I've had three friends who installed them, and later regretted it.

I am not a fan of Flowmaster sound or power. Sound like marbles in a coffee can to me. I call it the Flowmaster rattle! Magnaflow DOES make power, we have proven it on Norris dyno many times
