I have been lurking mostly on this site for several years. I started building a PT 73 Camaro in 1998. I got a good start getting most of the body and suspention work done by 2001. The summer of that year my wife 22 years was dianoised with stage 3 ovarian cancer. I continued to work on the car off and on until she died in 2004. I didn't have much desire to work on the car after that and it sat for 3 years until I started back on it in 2007. I had just remarried and had plenty of time until we bought a new house that needed the basement finished and I just had to build me a new shop! I got back to work on it this summer and just finished painting it 4 weeks ago. I have some more suspention work to do (new front shock mounts for Airride and moving the front of the rear springs inboard) The car is powered by an LT4 with a 6speed. 10 bolt rear end with 4:11 gears, mini tubbed , 315 rear and 275 front tires and a Corvette front suspention. With the help of my 19 year old I am getting a photobucket account set up so I can post pictures in the progress forum. I have been a Paramedic for 30 years so I think I am going to call it Project Defibrillator for lack of any better thing to call it.

Hmmm. doesn't sound familiar, but maybe i will see him around. I usually know people by what they drive lol.

Do you already have the drivetrain ready?

The drive train is done and has been in the frame several times. After I get it back from being buffed I will start puting it together. I hope to be driving it by the Goodguys K.C. show in Sept. 2010.
