What does everybody think an '07 Z06 is worth ???

The car is stock.
52,000 miles
Has been driven HARD !!
Has been maintained (under warranty ) at the dealership I work at.
Has been smoked in.
Has a few nicks and scratches on the paint.
Has a few blemishes , holes , tears , in the seats.

This car has NOT been stored as a collectable car.
It's not a Garage Queen.
It has been used as a driver.

So , whats a good deal for a " Fair " condition Z06.

I've run the Blue Book value on it. ( $37,990 Private seller ) ( $34,150 - Trade in )

I just want some opinions from you guys.

Jeff,
PM John Parsons, he just bought a 07 Z06 about two weeks ago that was highly modded. He would know the market right now.

I keep tabs on the Corvette market too. That is a high mileage example, but at least the 07+ benefit from the 100K mile warranty on the powertrain. I'd say $35-37K tops.

x2 under $40k for sure.

As an example, a customer of mine purchased an 07 with 7 or 8k miles. Nicely maintained and driven conservatively by the owners. Minor dress up mods but nothing special. He paid right over $50k from Jim Ellis. Silver with chrome rims

Vetts are super mileage sensistive. High mileage cars are hard to sell at any price. And then if you drive them even more, they fall off the cliff of value

Yeah , the value is the big thing.
35k this month.....25k six months from now..as the economy slows and the car gets more miles.
Your right Frank , thanks for bringing that up.

But still the best performance car value on the planet. Buy it and drive it. All new cars depreciate and the big hit has already been taken by the 1st owner. However, my perspective would be to pay a little more for a nice low mileage car especially if you're not going to daily drive it.

Yep , great performance value.
Probably the best.
Yeah , if I was gonna' try to re-sell it , I'd probably loose my butt.
But , if I was just gonna' buy a cheap Z06 and drive it , and enjoy it , this would probably work out good.

i have been wondering the same thing i'm in the market for a new car been looking at the new camaro but then the 06 or 07 z06's are right in the ballpark price wise and you get 10 times the car

If the car is used hard you may want to go down to at least "rough trade".

$ 34,150 is "fair" trade-in value.

Most of our cars are not really an investment. Buy it, enjoy it, and dont worry about what its worth if you want to sell it.

Based on your description of the car, I would look in the neighborhood of 37-40K as fair value for the car.

With the 07 cars, you'll want to ask about needle bearing failures. These don't seem to be cropping up in relation to age, it's just random, but it's there on those cars.

Keep one thing in mind however. The market on Corvette's is soft right now because it's a pleasure car and the economy is weak. That economy is starting to come back however, and with it, the price of these cars will likely start going back up.

So, with that said, if you're in the market, make it happen now rather than later.

For comparison my 08 Z with 10,000 miles, in near showroom quality (no scratches, dings, exquisitely maintained, non-smoker, garaged) 2lz with nav and chrome is on the market for 53k

If the Z you're looking at is a fair example of a car. One that has been driven, and not necessarily neglected, but hasn't seen intensive maintenance, I would think 37-40k as fair.

The car in question has the 2LZ package.
Chrome wheels , Nav System Radio, etc,,

I've seen '06s sell for $38-39K in excellent condition with less than 25K miles. At least three that I can remember. The one you are looking at has been smoked in, has worn/torn leather, and twice the miles. It would make a nice track car for mid-low 30s.

I would not call the Corvette market weak. My friends that sell low mileage late models are kicking ass right now

Sounds like a great driver. Which is what I would want to do with one anyways.
