Has anyone been to the PRI show and can give me an idea of how it/whats there? Is it anything like SEMA in regards to builders cars/etc being there or is it more or less just speed parts? I am debating going down with my dad but we are kinda torn.
Thanks
Chris

there are some cool cars there - but it is more strictly a buyers show. if you just want to see cool cars then sema is your best bet.

Yeah, as wicked said, very few cars, even less street cars, probaably even less this year as I have decided not to take any cars, lol! I just enjoyed myself at SEMA this year with no cars I just pulled decided not this year.

It is mostly a racing scene, lots of cool street stuff also, but a trade show at it's purest.

Much more equipment at that show. Machining, welding, CNC programming, etc.

The PRI show is like a hard-core racer's version of SEMA. The spectacle is significant, but far from the glitter and bling found at SEMA. At PRI, you won't see the neon, the wheel displays, or the insane stereo stuff you'll see at SEMA.
The purpose of the PRI show is to put the manufacturers who set up in booths (like SEMA) in touch with retailers. No civilian traffic or children are allowed at PRI.
We've been to both, and we prefer PRI without question. And not just because of the free beer on Thursday nite.

If you're going for the booth chicks then plan otherwise. Lot's of cool stuff, but not SEMA. Others have described it well.
