Hey guys, I havent been around lately but have been busy with getting married and building my garage. I am looking at welder/generator set ups for my garage and house. I have no real experience with them. I know most will do mig/tig/and stick but what are needed for add on's to be able to do these functions. Anything to stay away from. I am looking at a miller trailblazer 301G, with 2k hours. thanks for the input

The Trailblazer is great. Make sure you get the Kohler engine or old Onan. Do not get the new Onan (Subaru). Another great American industrial name gone down the tubes. They say that they are 20hp but they fall flat on their face when you strike an arc. We mostly use 7018 for field welding and the lack of power makes them stick much worse than usual.
For MIG you will need a separate wire feed and bottle the Lincoln LN25 is nice.
For TIG you will need a torch setup and bottle.
Good Luck

Thanks for the input dan. As far as the wire feed setup, is that what i have seen called a "suitcase" wire feeder? thanks
