power steering / hydraboost

[Impala Matt]

I am having trouble bleeding my power steering/hydraboost
the power steering is twitchy, the pump makes noise and the brakes have no power assist. the set up is the same as on my Impala
all '82 caprice diesel parts, pump, hydraboost, lines etc.
i have done the standard bleed stuff 20-40 turns lock to lock but always the same. Before I start buying new parts any ideas?

thanks for the heads up. these guys have been helpful in the past but they do not sell to the public anymore so no tech phone number.
I started with replacing the pump which cleared upthe noise but still no power assist to the brakes. So I replaced the hydraboost unit. Still no power to the brakes. I have been told sometimes these setups need 500-1000 miles to completely bleed out.
My Impala was ready to go as soon as I fired it up.
I'm still looking for a better answer

This may seem simple, so please don't take offense to this. Have you verified the lines are routed properly? Is it possible to feed backwards through the hydroboost unit?

The lines are a different size, also
as I put this set up together I used my Impala as a guide.
It has the exact same set up and has been apart numerous times and always bleed out and had power to the brakes. That is why this is so frustrating.

I keep thinking bubbles, or the return line.
When I did mine the first drive around the neighborhood was weird. Sometimes great brakes and sometimes worse than manual. Once I slowly rolled past a stop sign with my foot to the floorboard.

Inside the reservoir were thousands of teensy bubbles. I left it for some time and they rose up and popped. The next drive was better.

Happy Thanksgiving all
I was driving the Caprice last night and the power brakes came in.
There must have been air trapped in it and just like I was told, driving it would work it out. I put 60-80 miles on it before it worked through. I went to push the pedal super hard like I had been and almost put my head through the windshield. A couple of different people told me it might do the trick but I thought it seemed unlikely. I guess good things do come to those who wait.
