Hello, I just installed the AAW Highway 22 wiring kit on my 71 Chevelle and am having trouble getting the dome light to turn on from the headlight switch. I've connected the white ground wire to the dome ground but how does the headlight switch get grounded. I think the factory one had a ground ring or something. Anybody have a suggestion on this?

Thanks

switch grounds itself on the metal dash use sandpaper scuff it up

the dome wire should go from the headlight switch to the door switch then that goes to the light

Where you installed it and how. Pics coming out of wire wall and if you ran it through or along fender etc would be nice. Thanks

I can't get mine to work either. I guess it is because mine is mounted to a plastic dash. I may have to run a ground to the switch housing.

Also you need to make sure that the ground wires are connecte4d to something that is grounded good. We had the tail lights grounded to the body, power probe showed ground but since the body was not yet grounded the lights would not come on when we where testing it. Once we hooked tjhe ground strap up, perfect...

You can solder a wire to the side of the H/L switch and run it to a good ground.
