Things To Do In Florida

This is for anybody that lives in the Ft. Myers, Florida area. I will be coming down that way from November 19th thru the 30th. I was just wondering if anybody knew of any good car shows, cruises, or anything car related going on during that time. I'm even good for some performance part shops around there.

You will want to make the trip to Daytona for the annual Turkey Rod Run. It is probably the second largest show in the southeast next to Charlotte. Last year there was over 6,000 cars there. It is at the speedway and starts Thanksgiving Day through Sunday. It is about 4 hours or so from Ft. Myers. Friday and Saturday are the best days to go and the weather is usually great.

Make your way over to Miami/ Fort Lauderdale is about 100 miles due east and there is plenty to do around here....

It would be freaking tragic and criminal to be down that way and not visit http://www.musclecarcity.net/ !!! It's a lousy 35 minutes from Ft. Myers... well worth the trip and the entry fee IMHO.

And you might check out the schedule at Sebring and see if any good stuff is going on there. And if you're looking to auto-x, check out http://www.gulfcoastautocrossers.com/ ; they've got an event Nov 28 & 29. Saturday is a testing day and Sunday is the event.

Staying on Sanibel Island...the family goes down every year for Thanksgiving. You guys are great, thanks for all the help.That Muscle Car City looks awsome...just what I was looking for.

I stayed at Sanibel for Thanksgiving and had a great time.Early morning get the family out for shells.Take a bike or rent one and you can get around pretty good.Great place to just kick back,not alot of nightlife.
